Playa del Carmen is centrally located and a great starting
point to explore the Mayan Riviera. Here
is a brief description of some of the highlights with approximate mileage from Playa Del
Carmen. Busses and tours run frequently so a
car is not necessary. If you do rent a car
consider renting in advance through the web as we have found better deals this way.

20 miles north - beaches and reef. The car
and freight to Cozumel is located here. Close
by is a crocodile farm and botanical gardens.
